Located in the Santa Cruz mountains, the last quarter mile of the drive contains a one lane, private road that does require a confident driver. Based on the thoughtful reviews from our beloved guests, we have recently completed the following upgrades: Enhanced Privacy & Entry: We have installed a brand-new main entrance leading directly into the living room. This ensures that all bedrooms remain completely private and separate from the entry flow. Upgraded Security: For your peace of mind and a seamless check-in, we’ve upgraded to a Yale Digital Assure 2 smart lock on the main entrance. Atmospheric Lighting: We’ve added extra exterior lighting to the stairs, patio and main entrance for safer evening arrivals. Plus, our pool features vibrant, colorful atmosphere lighting to create a romantic highlight for your night under the stars. Upgraded Pool Care: We have enhanced our professional pool maintenance service to keep the water fresh and inviting. While the majestic redwoods may occasionally drop a leaf or two between cleanings, we work hard to ensure the pool is well-maintained and ready for you to enjoy the serene mountain atmosphere. Clearer Operation Guides: To ensure you feel right at home, we now provide digital and physical guides on how to easily operate our secure French door/Patio door locking system. Getting Around This home is approximately 20-30 minutes outside of Los Gatos and Santa Cruz. Minutes from the local favorite store, and close to major commute roads make the villa feel remote without being so. This hidden jewel is awaiting your visit and calling a peaceful mind. - Summit Store (local grocery store) (5-10 minute drive) - Regale Winery & Vineyard (8 minute drive) - Nestldown (event space) (13 minute drive) - Downtown Los Gatos (20 minute drive) - Capitola Village (25 minutes) - The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park (20-30 minute drive) - Santa Cruz Beach & Boardwalk (30 minute drive) Other things to note: - The pool is not heated and is supplied by the well. We have the pool professionally maintained on a weekly basis. However, since the property is nestled in natural redwoods, occasional leaves and debris may find their way into the pool. - The last quarter mile of the drive contains a one lane, private road that does require a confident driver. - While this house is pet-friendly, please be mindful that wild animals are expected in the woods, so any pets should not be left unattended outside during the day OR night. - There can be minimal cell phone reception on the way to the house. Make sure that you have your map loaded before you make the drive. We are required to stick to our cancellation policy and we suggest adding trip insurance for any last minute issues that may impact your travel (Weather, Illness, etc). We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.
